Kim Dahyun was your first everything.
You remember the day the both of you drove down the highway with no real destination, her hand on your thigh, the stars illuminating the sky. Music blasted in your ears, her angelic voice harmonizing and adding adlibs as you couldn't help but stare.
Her silver earrings sparkling under the moonlight, her nails with pink chipped nail polish, her hair flowing as the wind blew through the open window. It was a sight you could never forget, stuck in your head like a prayer.
You couldn't help but stare at the girl who you knew for so long. The girl who you held time and time again through every heartbreaking, knowing you could never be who you wanted to be for her.
The kisses you shared were nothing but practice for her, but you would always remember the feeling of her soft lips pressed against yours, her hand gently cupping your face. The nights like this that felt so much like a date. While she saw a hangout, you saw the way her eyes sparkled, her laughter ringing, her face engraved in your memory.

The reason she was never satisfied had nothing to do with what guys she had been seeing. That missing piece wasnt coming from them, but from herself.
The rest of the drive was quiet. Music played from the aux but it wasnt enough to fill the silence that had spread. A silent nod was all that was exchanged as the car came to a stop and you parted ways.
Mutual friends broke the news that she had a new boyfriend. They all told you that they thought this one was it. That she had finally found the man of her dreams. You knew it wasn't true. She would never fid the man of her dreams. Because her dream man wasn't a man.
When her birthday came around, you expected the normal celebration. cake, presents, and music. So when the music cut and everyone made space in the center, the last thing you expected was to watch her "dream man" get down on one knee.
And what you expected even less was the way she jumped into his arms, nodding as a tear streamed down her face.
But when she turned to look at you, you saw it. The tear slowly trailing down her cheek wasn't from happiness. There was emptyness in her eyes, longing. She knew this was it, and yet she wasn't satisfied. She never would be.
But you were.
Because fate had chose it's path, and you were tired of chasing someone who refused to be caught.

jeong jaehyun is a music major at neo university and one of the most popular guys on campus. you can often find him at parties and other social gatherings. he has released some music that has done pretty well and gained a lot of popularity through that.
john suh is a communications major, member of the neo university basketball team, and THE party host of the campus. he dj's for jaehyun sometimes on the side and is one of his closest friends.
lee taeyong is a sociology major and music minor at neo university and everyone's favorite person on campus. his personal circle isnt really big but everyone knows him and loves him. the one who keeps all the guys in check.
nakamoto yuta is a fashion major and campus hearthrob of neo university, though his heart belongs to a very specific person (free mark). he is part of a small rock band off campus that has recently started gartering attention.
kim doyoung is a theatre major at neo university and is known for almost always getting the lead roles (rightfully so!) he's the brain of the friendgroup and often is the one giving advice and helping the others along with taeyong.
kim jungwoo is a art major and member of the neo university basketball team. he's one of the less popular members of the friend group for some reason but he is super social and liked on campus. as jaehyun’s roommate, he knows him extremely well.
lee mark is a literary arts major and co captain of the neo university basketball team. he's known for being literally everywhere all the time all at once since he's also on student council and makes music from time to time.
lee donghyuck is a psychology major at neo university and another one of those people that everyone on campus knows. he’s always flirting with someone and nobody can ever tell if he’s serious or not.
