chapter 2: scissor sisters
The party was loud, too loud. The smell of alchohol and cigarrates was one that would always smell kind of foreign, no matter how much it surrounded you.
Anton and Minjeong left about an hour ago and honestly the sight of Sana flirting with Haechan wasnt the most pleasant. You needed to be alone, and it needed to happen soon.
People wouldnt expect this normally, one of the most popular girls on campus and yet you had rejected every offer made. Whether it was a drink, a dance, it didn't matter, the answer was always no. You were polite of course, as long as they didn't push it but still.
You mumbled a quick "I'm going to the bathroom" to Sana, she probably wasn't sober enough to process your words but oh well.
As you pushed your way through the party, you spotted Chenle and Mark on the other side of the room. You could join — Mark was chill, but you could already hear their fangirls barking at you or coming up with weird scenarios in their head.
So you chose to actually find a bathroom — one thet wasnt occupied by someone throwing their guts up or getting fucked.
It was a bit of a task, but eventually you found on at the very end of the hall. Nobody was inside yet, and you quickly rushed inside, closing the dor behind you and locking it.
Your head was foggy, likely from the alcohol but also from stress. Despite joking it off, you had no clue how to get home. Originally, you just planned to say sober, maybe tipsy, but a drinking game or two threw all those plans down the drain.
You could ask Johnny to crash, you knew he had an extra room, and that he wouldnt mind you staying, but there were two problems with that. One; the room had likely been...used tonight, and two, Ten's spending the nigh, and you didnt wanna see how their night went.
As you were dwelling in your thoughts, a knock came to the door, disrupting you.
"Is anyone in there?" A recognizable voice rang out— Jeong Jaehyun. The boy everyone on campus is in love with. You had no problem with Jaehyun, truly.
Except the fact that you were no exception to his curse. The man had it all, the face, the voice, the body, and the personality. But at a party a few months back during a party, Mark had broke the news that Jaehyun was seeing someone. Nothing official but someone was there.
Mark didn't know, the only one who did was your brother, and he didnt even go to your school.
From that day on things were different. You and Jaehyun were never really friends, but before that you guys were cool. You talked, played games at parties, chilled on campus. But then you drifted, and now its been about two months since you last talked to him.
But alas, you answer. You stand up and open the door, greeted by the man himself on the other side. He quickly apologizes but you cut him off.
"It's okay, I wasn't really doing anything in here, just trying to get away." You said, fixing your hair and sighing.
He nodded, taking in your appearance before speaking, "I thought you would've left with Anton and Winter?"
You shook your head, "Shotaro's taking them home and I live the other direction, so I just came in here to think clearly, figure out how I'm gonna get home."
Jaehyun looked at you again. He could tell you were drunk. Not to the point where you couldn't think straight, but enough that it was dangerous for you to go home alone. He's partied with you before, and knows that you often can look fine, but pass out randomly. And then the words were out of his mouth before he could think.
"Only if you want though!" he quickly added.
Your eyes widened slightly, but you quickly recomposed yourself. "It's fine, I don't want to ruin your fun."
He shook his head , "It's fine, I'm not really having much fun anyway."
Before you could second guess yourself, you nodded and followed Jaehyun out to his car, and right as you slid into the passenger seat, you blacked out.
notes: i'm so sorry for dissapearing for like month! i'm highkey failing three major courses rn so i've been trying to catch up. (this degree better be worth it or im kms) i promise i will try my best to make updates more consistant.
