sorry this ask must be so old by now i have no idea when this was sent but..... i dont know, i feel like the problem is mostly antagonists not actually understanding what they did wrong? seems that steven just makes people realise theyre bummed out then they just kind of roam free thinking their attempted genocide was whatever, the diamonds shouldve removed themselves from their position as rulers and stayed far away from homeworld if they were really “redeemed”. Even if your shows gimmick is to give everyone a chance people need to face repercussions and understanding of what they did wrong, especially when its on such a big scale as galactic genocide and enslavement.
It’s almost as if su wants to say it /does/ tackle big serious moral themes that occur in the real world, but last second it backs out and says eh im just a kids show, rubs me the wrong way...
