How Nepali Students Can Check Their Australia Student Visa Status
Waiting for an Australia student visa decision can feel stressful, especially when your course start date is getting closer. Many students keep checking emails again and again, but the better way is to understand where to check and what each update means.
If you applied online for an Australian student visa, your application status is usually checked through ImmiAccount. After logging in, you can open your submitted application and review the current status, messages, document requests, health updates, biometrics instructions, or final decision notice.
Some students get worried when the status does not change for many days. But a slow update does not always mean rejection. Status words like Submitted, Received, Initial Assessment, Further Assessment, or Finalised simply show where the application may be in the process.
The most important thing is to check whether any action is required from your side. If the Department asks for more documents, read the request carefully, note the deadline, and upload only the documents that are needed. Uploading random or repeated documents may not help.
Students also often confuse ImmiAccount with VEVO. ImmiAccount is mainly used when your application is still being processed. VEVO is more useful after a visa is granted because it shows visa details, expiry date, and visa conditions.

Is your health examination completed?
Were biometrics required?
