Neprox! Honestly, I just used this ship today as an excuse to draw Nepeta in a casual suit :> I won't say much on the ship (still feeling burnout), it's just a cute femslash.

Roxy Lalonde ♥️ Nepeta Leijon - Coffee Shop AU

Roxy’s the kind of gal that asks for a different drink everywhere she goes, and they’re always complex. They’re the kind of needless hassle that would make any overworked, underpaid barista lose their mind. She’s a blonde with a pretty face and a monstrous palette, and for the longest time, despite her love for wearing sweaters on cold evenings and using other people’s free wifi, she never called any cafe her midnight blogger’s home. That is, until a cute little cat cafe opened up right underneath her apartment, one that boasted a comfort kitten with every drink and and a feisty hostess to flirt with as the night wore on.

“Alright- here’s a rowdy one.” A lithe, midnight black cat with a white cap on its tail is deposited on the surface of the table, back arched as it recovers from being held. Big yellow eyes blink uncertainly before looking up at Roxy as she reaches out slender fingers to be sniffed for judgement.

“Doesn’t seem so rowdy to me. Aren’t you, cutie?” Roxy coos at the feline.

“Mutie, actually. His name is Vodka Mutini, but I call ‘im Mutie. He doesn’t meow– at least, he hasn’t around the staff.” The hostess pulls out a paper and pen, clicking it as she prepares for Roxy’s order. Knowing her cue, Roxy fires.

“Decaf soy latte; extra shot, extra cream, and no foam– room temperature, pretty please.”

“Seriously, Rox? Give me a challenge,” the apron-wearing attendant scoffs, scribbling a note to herself before putting her tools away. “And make sure to keep Mutie contained, alright? He likes getting into all sorts of trouble when nobody’s looking.”

“Oh, I’ll take care of him. Don’t you worry your pretty little head, Nepeta.” Roxy replies nonchalantly, shooting the girl a smile as she takes Mutie into her arms with ease. The cat seems to follow the motion almost naturally, and Nep watches with some reserved amusement as Mutie climbs onto Roxy’s shoulders and curls himself around her neck.

“Cat charmer,” Nepeta remarks with a roll of her eyes, Mutie’s purrs audible even from where she’s standing.

“Hey, that’s why I landed you, right?” The blonde laughs with a wink, to which Nepeta just waves her off.

“Shut up and get to work already, would you? Don’t forget that you’re paying me for your time with Mutie, Miss ‘I can’t work without a cat in my lap’.” She says sassily, hips swaying with her skirt as she makes a show of sauntering a short distance away.

“Ooh, but girl, you know I’m not the only one that gets something out of that set-up, don’t you?” Roxy grins, her implications falling just a smidge out of place in a public environment. Nepeta’s head flicks over her shoulder so she can cock a brow, a silent ‘cool it’ in her pretty green eyes.

“Chase the skirt after hours, please and thank you.”

“Uhuh, will do. Speaking of after hours, where’s my drink?”

For all the quips and nagging, Nepeta is happy to call Roxy a regular.
