I’ll be leaving tumblr by 2019
Tumblr has nuked queer and black activism tags, it’s deleted anarchist blogs, it’s joined a long list of sites fucking over sex workers, it’s fucked over its users en masse, it’s been mismanaged and toxic since day 1, and like all corporate websites it harvests and sells all of our data. Sadly, though, the 17th came and went and my activity is still steady enough for tumblr to remain useful to me. Well, if this site isn’t going to die, I guess I have to act first
I’m not going to do the “Hey, I have new accounts, but don’t worry I’m not leaving tumblr!” nonsense so many other people are doing. After December 31st, reblogs of this post will be the only thing coming out of this blog. I’m not going to delete my account yet, but I won’t be using it anymore

Again, these can be followed from any ActivityPub platform that supports it, and I’ll be happy to help you set up on federated social media if you ask
This applies over here too. I’m pretty much the only one still doing anything with this blog (and just barely), so once I’m gone it’ll be dead
