You know those nerd couples (the ones with at least one guy in them)? The ones where the one guy is overweight, super tall, has very very short almost buzzed hair and a midlength beard, wears glasses (or not), and has a deep comforting laugh?
Where the chick is also overweight though often lesser so, much shorter than him, has either extremely unruly curls or long straight hair - and either way often her hair is in a ponytail - also wears glasses that are either a slightly boxy oval or rectangular, high-pitched voice, and is very warm and friendly when she gets comfortable with you?
How the dude is usually named something along the lines of Joe, or Matt, or Larry, or Ted, and the girl is usually named something like Julie, or Cathy, or Liz, or Trish?
They usually have pets, and have the same interests in food and genres of media, and they are usually childless until their late 30′s?
Their date nights usually consist of going to a movie, grabbing dinner, and then hanging out somewhere to play games and/or hang out (though most fuck too), or going to the nerd part of town with the Game Preserve/GameStop/ThinkGeek/comic books stores/the hipster-heavy area of town and lingering there for several hours?
When they splurge on a meal or snack, it’s usually Asian food - be it Chinese, Japanese, or Indian?
The girl may wear a skirt with her graphic T-Shirt, or maybe even a dress - usually a rockabilly one or a fairly plain one - and doesn’t really wear much makeup - but usually wears said T-Shirt with a pair of denim shorts down to about an inch 1/2 or just above her knee, and a pair of flip flops or cheap sneakers and fun socks? Her favorite accessory is a flannel shirt that’s more for functionality incase it gets cold, rather than to look “alternative”, and she’ll often wear jewelry with either dragons, wolves, or crystals on in?
The guy tends to wear the exact same thing, except usually his shorts are cargo shorts?
Yeah. I love those guys. I’m pretty happy that I’m in one of those relationships.
