Oh my god, you guys!!! 😍 The Surrender paperback is going to be on the shelves at the Austin Public Library soon!
This was my first 🌟BIG🌟 goal for my debut novel, and I can't believe it's happening! When I saw this pop up, I actually got teary. 😭 This is a library nerd's dream come true. 🤓
Now I'm just biding my time until they reopen the call for local author consignments for the bookstore at Central... I'm patient, I'll be good... I'm not hopping from foot to foot and wiggling with excitement, I swear 😂
Salarian Councilor Valern without his Robes of Councilor Mystery.
By editing ME1′s upk files Valern can be placed in an unused Citadel outfit, which is the same medical uniform that Maelon Heplorn wears in Mass Effect 2.
Mind & Body: Write something that would motivate others to workout and exercise.
As always, the original blog is here. I do actually work out, although I’m not super impressive like I aim to be. One day I will be though!
She kicked up into a handstand, a grin on her face. Slowly she splayed her legs to shift her weight to one arm and… slowly, carefully… she brought her left arm out successfully! Balanced, she tilted her head just enough to look into the camera. This was it. The pinnacle of her nerddom. All the months exercising and practicing variations of handstands just for this moment. Every early morning practice, grip strength exercise, and burning abdominal muscle, for a picture.
At first no one asked her for a picture and she was getting worried everyone forgot the character. Alas, who could forget Ty Lee from Avatar? The cheers around her and her fellow nerds whipping out their phones made all of her work worth it. As soon as the pictures dwindled down, she dropped her weight to the side and came back up on her feet in one motion. Next time she would use her left arm, she thought as she shook her right hand. Even better, if she found a Toph, she would do the capture pose!
Next goal: more muscle definition for characters like Fang and Mikasa. Of course, she couldn’t forget to do Rock Lee! Or should she focus on her upper body strength so she could princess carry other cosplayers as her favorite OTPs? It was really fun getting to do cool poses as her favorite characters. Not to mention it got her working out. At some point, working out had gotten fun enough to do without an end goal like “handstand as Ty Lee,” but it certainly felt more rewarding that way.
