Tutorial: How to hide long hair in a wig cap part 2
Hey there! I posted a tutorial on how to hide long hair under a wig cap a while ago, and it looks like it's been helpful to a lot of people.
However, occasionally I noticed that the braid method can make weird lumps under a wig, as well as cause tension headaches. ( this might not be the case for everyone, but it's worth mentioning). So lately I've been appealing to my lazy side and doing it an easier way. So here we go with part two. Now with gifs!
This method uses the netted wig caps with the hole.
Here's an idea of how long my hair is. I'm almost at Rapunzel length, haha.
Step 1: Pull the wig cap over your head, and under your hair. Make sure all of it is pulled out.
Step two: Gather all of your hair in a ponytail, bunch it up, etc. As long as it is all held above the head.
Step three: pull the netting over your bunched hair. Make sure not to grab the elastic end, that's what keeps it on your head.
Step four: push the hair around so that it's relatively spaced out to avoid weird lumps.
Step five: tuck any stray hairs underneath the wig cap
Step six: grab the wig by the back and pull onto your head. Depending on the wig, you may do the opposite. I usually try to place the hairline of the wig with mine, and pull the back over and then adjust everything.
And you're done!
Thank you, and cosplay on!
