True I hope Nerissa comes out of this alive you know?
I hope so too. Like I said before, she is important to the rebellion and maybe one of the reasons Morgan has still kept her alive. Before CS, I wasn’t really concerned about Nerissa’s fate but after learning her backstory, now I am more curious. I want more of her. Honestly, I want every living character to make it out alive but I doubt that would happen. But still I do want Nerissa to have a happy ending as much as one can get in the FK world.
Sorry for taking such a long time to answer but when you asked me the ask I still hadn’t finished reading the book.
First, I do like that Morgan is representing the LGBTQ+ community in her books. But these characters’ task isn’t just to represent the community (like in some books). They have their own goals and agendas.
But after this do I really see Amara and Nerissa having a future? Not really.
Nerissa is one of those side characters that have been there from the beginning. I wasn’t really sure of her role in this series but after CS I am. She is an essential part of the rebellion and she is an excellent spy. This book just proved that. She had Amara in her palms. She made her trust her. She strung her along perfectly. But this book was too short for me to decide whether Nerissa actually has feeling for Amara. I don’t think that she does. She was just doing her part in the rebellion.
However, I was surprised about how much Nerissa’s betrayal actually hurt Amara. But to be honest, I think she deserved that after what she did to Felix. She had it coming.
But when all is said and all is done, do I ship these characters? Not really. I think would have to read more of their interactions to make up my mind. But I would like to read Nerissa’s pov in FK6 and what are her thoughts on Amara. But honestly I don’t ship Amara with anyone.
