The Student Radio Chart show
I like to think that the role of Nerve Officer not only involves me acting as as go-between for the Subu Exec and the Nerve Committee, so when not preparing reports on CDjs and Website budgets, I spend my time promoting the Nerve* media outlet.
Last time around I was doing the PR and Social Media for Nerve* Radio and the Student Radio Chart show, which involved promoting the online even both on campus and online, as well as organizing, answering and sending Tweets and Facebook messages to the studio on the day.
The Student Radio Chart show is a national chart show that broadcasts live across the U.K every Sunday from 3pm to 5 pm and is repeated on student stations throughout the week. Each week a new student radio is hosting the event and this year, not only was it the first time Nerve* hosted the show, Nerve* was also given the opportunity to host it TWICE in a row, writing student radio history right there! On the 20th and the 27 of January, the SRA Chart show was broadcasted from our very own studio at Talbot Campus, and during both shows we peaked at about 30 listeners on our website alone, which certainly is an achievement - however seeing as this is a national even and it's being broadcasted on every student radio station across the UK, we predict the listener ship to have been significantly higher.
