Okay okay okay let’s talk about how they all got together in the first place
Me personally, I see it starting with Gray and Erza since they’re the most hinted at in canon to have romantic feelings for each other
I don’t think it’d be any one huge event that made them realize they wanna be together, more like they just kept getting closer and closer until they were basically dating already and didn’t even realize it
From there, I feel like as much as they’re into each other, things would feel just a little off. They couldn’t put their finger on it for a while and thought maybe they just weren’t right for each other
This is when Natsu comes in
Now even if we won’t ever get canon confirmation, we all know both Erza and Gray are ridiculously in love with this pink haired idiot
It probably wouldn’t even sink in Natsu’s head that Erza and Gray have started dating because
It happened so slowly and naturally it didn’t seem like much had changed
it’s fucking Natsu
So when Gray and Erza are on a sorta date where they’re talking about their relationship, Natsu just strolls right over with absolutely no regard as to what’s going on and just crashes their date
But then they realize... they didnt mind at all
That last bit of the puzzle of their relationship has finally shifted into place
Just imagine Natsu’s suprise when Gray and Erza approach him to ask him out and he suddenly realizes
“Oh shit I’ve been in love with both of them basically my whole life holy shit!”
It’s really weird and unconventional, but hey, how else did we expect these three idiots to all get together?
