neither team wants to be handed the cup by trump that's why no one is scoring
there's currently a people's caravan that started their way from hannover, germany and passed through vienna today after making a stop. they are on their way to kobanê for aid. if european youth cares more about rojava than the ummah does, i need every muslim to look into the mirror and ask themselves wtf is wrong with us
the madleen flotilla on instagram made a post of support for rojava only to delete it hours later. solidarity is meant to be inconvenient, meant to make uncomfortable. whoever lets public opinion dictate which suffering to care about & which to look away from isnt practicing solidarity but the upholding of their image
every time oruç runs after eleni & doesnt tell her the truth he falls deeper into the pit he has dug up for himself
i'm eating up isfad sooo bad (while pointing & laughing at oruç btw)
i've been wondering what the kurdish words for the two geographical directions of north and south, called bakur and başûr in kurmanji kurdish, mean etymologically. i just found and it's really cool so i thought i'd share.
both descriptions use the word ba, meaning wind. başûr consists of ba (wind) and şûr (salty), a south wind being associated with sea wind, thus being salty.
bakur, consisting of ba (wind) and kur (deep, here meaning fierce), referring to the north wind that is strong and cold.
inshallah i never have to pass the kurdistan region - turkey border by car ever again that was the strictest border i've ever crossed
