How I feel about this character: sad and i love him. there’s a lot of fic that provides devastating background to his character, that explores what he has gone through. he’s a character that, while kind and thoughtful, also refuses to let anyone help him unless he physically cannot go on living without it, because of his fear of vulnerability and of the people he loves hating him if he shows any hint of dependency or vulnerability. which i identify with strongly lol. this may be why he’s always referred to in the books as sickly-looking (esp compared to the one other werewolf in the books), not so much necessarily in direct relation to the lycanthropy. he definitely got the short end of the stick from jkr in every facet of his life lol

My non-romantic OTP for this character: uh. sirius, still, probably

My unpopular opinion about this character: uh jkr thanks for killing off your most gay-coded character after making him straight suddenly in the same book

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: don’t kill him, let him marry sirius, they adopt harry, jkr stops talking about hp

An unpopular opinion: this show is a pretty good example of media that became a love letter to the masculinity that it gently satirized with its better writers and in earlier seasons, and the importance of a competent director

Character I find most attractive: feel free to shame me but the only character that the books go out of their way to describe in a way that i’d find physically attractive is like, runcorn, like dh mentions his huge muscular arms, deep voice, and beard multiple times; he’s obviously a terrible person but the books seem to be extremely short on my type… the only two who are like decent ppl are the ones who are just described as burly a couple times lol like pro quidditch player oliver wood and charlie weasley

A random thought: this is yet another beloved childhood franchise like a//t/la that i wish had just 1 (one) gay person who wasn’t given to us extratextually in hp’s case

An unpopular opinion: this is definitely one of the more bleak and depressing fantasy series for kids; to me it was obvious that jkr was leaning towards having harry die at the end. the entire progression from books 4-7 of inescapable dread and everything good in harry’s life slowly falling apart as his fate solidified more and more into place. like.

I’d say cities bc they tend to have more going on that i’m interested in, but if i feel like relaxing or getting away, beaches when it’s overcast

florence: how did you discover your favourite artist’s work?

claude monet, i think!! i found out about him in elementary school during a presentation. his paintings feel really calming to me, but are also really interesting to look at. i’m also a fan of romantic art or art that sort of carries on that kind of idea, it’s nice being able to relate your emotions to a landscape (image: frozen lifeless winter, me: oh mood). i like lots of other kinds of art, though i don’t know much about it

naples: if you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and for how long?

this is a tough one!! i guess i’d like to visit france for three weeks since french is the only other language i know any grammar for. i don’t really know bc it’s hard to imagine going anywhere or enjoying anything or what i’d do once i got there

(i had tuned in tonight bc i was cautiously optimistic about the spin off and wanted to see missouri but turned it off after her death bc i felt stupid lmao)

at least we didn’t see her go through the whole gross death sequence they showed with the first psychic, which i guess is better than nothing... 

and unlike missouri who accepted her fate as is *spoilers* later in the episode her granddaughter Patience doesn’t just accept whatever she sees and actively does something to change her situation for the better, and she does! so i guess it works on a meta level about accepting fate vs. choosing your own destiny and how Missouri was from early spn and Patience is spn moving forward with wayward sisters etc etc.....

.....but all that still doesn’t negate that wayward sisters started with a dead PoC and.. yeah :/
