Also woo challenging myself with both fin like wings and armor with scales, woo we love challenging ourselves don't we?  anyway her look is nice and woo in time for mermay -floats

Mermaimon

Mermaimon who is very pirate themed and I am not against it. Makes since with pirates and mermaids being connected to each other...because why the heck not, She has a cool look and I was planning to draw her and why not do it for this lovely mermay?

Funfact originally I wasnt going to do the crossbow/anchor weapon...but uh, it kinda ads a background right? RIGHT?

Calamaramon

Calamarimon! The evil version of the spirit of water from Digimon frontier, creepy scary and technically a mermaid so another tick for Mermay ha! 

Now I want it noted I planned on drawing her like during digicember but I never got to it, and since I have zero clue if I will be doing digicember again I decided to just draw digimon when I ever I want, I can do what I want I am my own person!  Also you guys like how she has a little Otamamon? Just a tiny snack for the big squid lady!

Mari: I would’ve taken it off if you’d just asked.

Veno: Sorry. It’s just that, well... You're dead according to all the files.

Mari: What files?!

Veno: Experiment files, back at the Lab. You were formally terminated by being thrown into the Net Ocean.

Mari: I lived in that place for five years, didn’t feel like I was dead.

Veno: Nobody would’ve survived in those conditions, least of all a mere infant!

Mari: I did. But I got bored, so I left and went on to become a mercenary, then went to the Real World, and made an established life. I just came back recently- on a quest to find my parents!

Scubamon 1: Alright. Whaddya wanna know?

Mari: How and when did I arrive on the shore?

Scubamon 1: Ha! Ya don’t know that already?

Mari: *growling*

Scubamon 1: I was jus’ kiddin’! Take a joke wouldja... Around fifteenish years ago yer egg showed up in the water, it was covered in Lab scent so nobody touched it. Stuff that comes from that place gives ‘em all the heebie jeebies. Ya washed up here, hatched, wreaked havoc, left, and came back today. Tha’s all I know.

Mari: What is “The Lab”? I’ve never heard of it.

Scubamon 2: Up the shore a few hundred miles North, back in Digi-world territory. It’s a big gray building- You can’t miss it! Now can you let us go?

Mari: *leans in with claws bared* Hmm... I don’t know~ 

Scubamon 3: P-please? 

Mari: Oh, well since you asked nicely! *slashes the rope*
