Not to go off but the "monster is a victim" is an INCREDIBLE oversimplification of the source material, Frankenstein's monster is just that, a monster. BOTH him and Victor are tragic figures, victor fell ill upon seeing what he had done, initially blinded by ambition, he realized his mistake immediately but it was so strenuous that he was bedridden for WEEKS, and the first thing he did when he recovered was going back to try to find the monster. The monster literally murders a woman and child.
