Neulander - People's Love

Adam Peters and Korinna Knoll. They used to live in and work out of NYC, then moved to Joshua Tree, CA and on to LA. A drum machine, 2 keyboards, a cello, a boy and a girl in gigantic baroque luscious minimalist overdrive. ‘Neulander are melodic, unusually cool and slightly aloof’, says the NY Times. The lyrics seem to suggest Russian poetry colliding with an abstract, personal response to the confusion of 21century media culture. Adam, a Londoner by birth, used to play with Brit acts like Echo & The Bunnymen, Siouxsie & The Banshees, and his own group The Flowerpot Men/Subsonic. Where did they go? Nobody knows but I haven't seen anything new in years.
