Hectic tactics were least expected on the system’s list. Generations had passed from origin of place, money and photo identification became useless and outdated. These were all the things necessary, and many more, to fulfill the plan from this world. Running in circles, days crept onto long anticipated date. Anxiety overwhelms the system all morning. Heart racing in panic, downing a bottle of water gripped by trembling fingers.
Will today fare well?
Dark, messy aegean blue locks combed down. A simple turtleneck top with a white blazer over matched with white slacks and brown dress boots to compliment it all. A reflected visage; a professional man by the name Kaito Yuuga, a mentor and music teacher whom left after burdened with piles of work. That is whose identity Ori will temporarily take the place of. By far, no one’s questioned it since his stay. The guise proves a success.
Prior to the set rendezvous, Ori had to pay visit of the curious building know as Crypton. He remembers it clearly, a woman who raised her brows and commented; “It’s been a while since we last saw you, Mr. Yuuga. How have you been? Ah? Can’t imagine all the work you’ve managed. You’d like to see Len? Sure thing. I’ll contact him for you. He’ll be glad to see you.”
Fond words of encouragement, at least he hoped and prayed they were. The one thing that struck as odd was the emphasis of Len’s name. Oblivious to it all, the woman specified a specific Len droid that temporarily trained under the real Kaito Yuuga.
The similar parallels were unsettling. Ori had served as a mentor and left, straining the relationship between his old friend. The consequences? He’d outlive everyone. Most importantly, Ori will outlive him, no longer present in times of needs. The least expected happened, blessed and in utter shock, Ori’s old friend was partnered with him after hundreds of years. He who made the same sacrifice and gave up life as a human to become a system, the second system of the management tower. It wasn’t long when it all fell apart. There was no one to blame but himself. Right?
What impact did Kaito Yuuga have with Len from this universe? Why is it that one is human yet the other an android? That is as much information data could collect from this world, this universe.
Lifting sleeves by the edge, Ori reads the time on a wrist watch. Meet up time at twelve o’clock by Crypton’s building. That is a good time, right? Not too early and not too late. It’s perfect. Today is cloudy, same as the previous days. Forecast didn’t include rain. The sun will peek sometime later. He isn’t accustomed to it. Hands held together, Ori looks down with occupied eyes. Waiting. Looking at the time once more, his view meets blond hair. A pregnant pause. Heart begins racing, gentle eyes direct to Len.
“It’s been a couple of years.” he smiles. “Mind catching up at a coffeehouse? Unless you’re hungry, we can go somewhere to your liking. I'll pay for you.”
