This knowledge could help to design even better drugs for the condition. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes recurrent seizures and can strike without warning. It is thought to affect somewhere between 0.5% and 1% of the population.

im desperately trying to find some lab thats local that will take me on as a non attending student (i go to online uni and i need the experience irl, but theres an issue with people taking non attending students) and i have a small bit of hope now that i may get adopted by a venomics lab where the guy did his dissertation and research on snake venom

i expressed my interest in studying coral snake and orb weaver neurotoxins, and he said that hes moved away from snakes for the most part to facilitate working with students, and he mostly does tarantula and scorpion venom now, which is an issue because im scared of handling inverts, by hey at least i can study venoms like i wanted to, even if for a short time

The intensity of a character (A) who cannot move because they are either too weak or paralyzed or cursed with a spell, etc. And character B not knowing that they are in danger, but they are so close to finding them but A cannot call out for help. They can only listen to them search, or go about their usual business (depending on if they know that A is missing or not) and hope that they stumble upon where they're lying.

Bonus points if character A is usually a quite powerful defender and whoever has left them in this state is after character B as well, and A is internally panicking because they cannot warn B of the threat nor step in to help if the threat arrives too soon and they must listen helplessly to the scuffle.

Hi fellow parents of Tumblr! We meet yet again! Today has unfortunately been a tough day for the UK, we learnt at approximately 12:13 this morning that Prince Philip has died. We feel gutted for the royal family, as they've lost a Prince, a husband, a father, a grandfather and more recently, a great grandfather. May he rest.

I decided to talk to Daniel about how he felt about losing a royal, and he responded with, "The troubles of mortals do not impact the forces of darkness"

edit: i found out last night that the wholesome friend is actually quite deadly! according to a park ranger they're a Roughskin Newt! they secrete a neurotoxin from their skin that can kill full grown adults!! so be really really careful handling wildlife, especially if you dont know if they're safe to handle. i was really lucky, considering i handled the poor little fella. (they were in the chicken coop. i didnt want the chickens to eat him so i moved him to a better place!)
