that was my first thought but i just talked to one of the officers and he told me the name of the person they arrested and it wasn’t a guest

apparently one of the other guests is his ex-girlfriend and the person he tried to tried to stab is her new boyfriend. so i was unfortunately correct in my premonition that the police would wind up here at some point; it just happened to be for something unrelated.

plus i now have to deal with a guest who wants a full refund because of the police disturbance even though he’s still staying the night. he claims he can’t find another place at this hour (which isn’t true) and i just told him a manager would deal with it in the morning bc i can’t give refunds anyway, but i don’t envy whoever has to tell him that there’s no way he’s getting the room refunded if he stayed in it overnight

never a dull moment in this place, especially on nights where i’m working by myself
