This is going to turn into a nevecora blog I can just see it happening...

I talked about this some here but I can always yap about them some more.

I really wish the game hadn't tried so hard to lean away from the Tevinter we were told about in the South and also hadn't tried so hard to make Neve 'not like the other tevinters' because if they'd given her some prejudices it would have been soooo good.

Somewhere out there is a universe where these two act on the snide remarks and mind games they play with each other. Neve says something about how tough it was in the Minrathous Circle or Dock Town. Cora calls her spoiled. Neve snaps. They end up on her desk having terrible angry sex... I just don't think that they'd be able to break through each others walls the way a Nevemancer Rook does in game, or the way Cora and Lucanis do for each other. If Cor were ever to get into a FWB situation it would be with a hardened Neve, and it would be self-harm from both sides. Cora punishing herself for not choosing to save Minrathous. Neve punishing herself for not being good enough... I just think the fallout would be nuclear.

So... Cora and Neve...

Well I think in a universe where Rook saves Minrathous there would be some attraction from Neve. I... hesitate to say Cora would feel the same but I wonder whether that initiation from Neve would get her thinking about it. I also don't know whether they would be good for each other at all. Honestly... ough maybe if Neve isn't hardened Cora resents her even more than she does in a hardened Neve worldstate. Yeah. I wonder if there would be a sort of FWB situation, esp since Lucanis would be off the table.

In canon though... idk I've tried to put my thoughts in order about the two of them here. They're sooooo different and sooooo similar in all of the absolute worst ways that their eventual falling out would probably be close to a calamity lmao. Cora is so so jealous of Neve and Neve is so so angry with Cora and it's just a clusterfuck of emotions and different experiences of being a mage from both of them... they're so messed up. I think they'd have horrible sex and then hate each other forever so all in all it's good that it never happens.
