#new bed

I need a new bed. Please help.

I've had the mattress I'm sleeping on for nearly three years, and it's started to develop weak spots (as I am a restless, fat sleeper), which is causing a lot of back and rib pain. (And energy deficiency due to poor sleep.)

Plus, where I have the bed in my house (literally the only place it'll fit, with my other furniture) it's really really cold. It's right up against the brick of the outside wall. I need to get a new, smaller sized piece of furniture to sleep on that I can move to the other wall and have it fit there.

There's currently a sale on at Walmart for this futon, (less than half its normal price!) but I have no extra dollars to get it and once the sale ends it's back up to $600 which is even farther away from what I can afford. Right now it's $270.99 (with taxes that's about $306 estimated.)

With temperatures being in the -20s (Celsius), it's been harder to keep warm AND have a good night's sleep (what is that, even? lol) So if you guys could help chip in a few dollars so I can get something that works, I would be eternally grateful.

Deidara: But I was just wondering about —

Sasori: *turns from his desk and faces Deidara*

Sasori: I don’t need sleep, right?

Deidara: Yeah …

Sasori: I don’t need sleep, so I have no practical need for a bed, right?

Deidara: Y-yeah? I don’t —

Sasori: But you, have a fully organic body. So you, unfortunately, do need sleep. You do seem to prefer sleeping in here as opposed to your own room. And if that’s the case — should I be expected to have you sleep on the hard floor?

Deidara:

Deidara: S-so … so the bed … you just got it because of —

Sasori: Like I said, you ask too many questions. *turns back towards his desk* Stop distracting me and go to sleep already.

*Deidara lays quietly for a few moments, before getting out of bed and softly padding across the room to Sasori*

Deidara: *puts his arms around Sasori’s shoulders from behind and rests his cheek against the side of Sasori’s neck*

Deidara, speaking softly: You own me, you know. My heart, my soul. All of me.

Sasori: *turns around and pulls Deidara into his lap*

Sasori, smiling: I’m not sure I’m worthy of having such a beautiful creature, all for myself. But for what it’s worth, you own me, as well. From the top of my head to —

Kakuzu, sticking his head into the door: Speaking of “owning” things — Sasori you’ve got until the end of the week to pay me off for this ridiculous bed you insisted I get for this brat. And with a perfectly good bed in his own room that he refuses to sleep in now! And these obnoxious five thousand thread count sheets he “needed” to have!

Kakuzu: As a matter of fact, never mind the end of the week. You’ve got three days to get me what you owe, or this damn blonde idiot is going to be buried in that blanket! *walks out grumbling*

This morning, my new mattress finally arrived.

I have to hand it to the delivery company. Somehow they managed to fit a full six-foot mattress into a box no bigger than 40 × 40 × 200 cm. After taking the mattress out of the box, the company recommends leaving it for 3 days before use, so that it can fully expand and return to its original shape.

On the evening, I cooked green bean congee for our dinner. My husband enjoyed it with mantou or a Chinese pancake, just the way he likes.

We also had one cold dish, a long bean salad, and two hot dishes— stir-fried cauliflower, and duck cartilage tossed with peanuts for that perfect crunch.

After dinner, the two of us went to a Zumba class at the gym near our home.

We’re so back

I took advantage of the weird melt to build a lasagna bed like I wished I had when it was actually fall. I took apart my terrible composter (which was partly frozen) and used the bunny litter as my main layer. Then I put old topsoil and then covered the whole thing is straw.

This is not a tutorial; I know there’s too many browns but I’m hesitant to add greens as I’m pretty sure there is a rat living under my porch. I’m hopefully getting a really good composter for a steal on the weekend and it’s supposed to be creature resistant so hoping to make up the difference there. Just glad to be back in my yard doing stuff!

I got a new bed and it’s so awesome, it’s soft and way bigger than my twin bed was!!! Also re arranged some stuff too, I’ll be doing a deep clean soon where I’ll take some photos of my whole room in its normal state, a bit has changed!!!

Also yes that IS a bass pro shops shark I love him.
