Ah yes, to be freshly diagnosed with a new chronic illness is both the blessing and curse of those with preexisting conditions.
Comorbidity: that’s the key word.
I was recently (as in, today), diagnosed with gastroparesis. The more I read, the more worried I am... terrified even.
I’ve been through this before with my other conditions, but this is even more life altering, especially at my stage in life.
Good to know of it’s existence. Bad to... have it I suppose.
Yet again fellow spoonies, those with chronic illnesses, and anyone inbetween who could give their two cents, I would appreciate any advice you could give. How is it like to live with this disorder? Where do I begin? How big is diet change? Do medications even work?
It’s rarity astounds me, and yet, it turns out, I’ve had it my whole life! Since age 5 at least, so any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all, thank you so much!!!
