The Window Method- by Shifting-is-wack
Last night I came really close to shifting with a new method I made up, and I plan to use it more so I thought I should share it with you guys (also excuse the butchering of the words laying/lying I dont know the difference rip)
Jumping right to it I used it as a sleeping method but I’m sure you could work with it to be an awake method.
Lay anyway you find comfortable, I personally was on my back with one leg bent and one straight with my arms on my stomach but you do you.
As you’re laying picture a window in your dr bedroom. Use all of your senses to look at it and out of it. Feel the texture of the paint, and the cool window. Hear the sound of the outside. Stuff like that. I personally have a window seat in my dr so I was sitting in the seat and laying my head against the window as I looked at trees and the city line.
If you dont have a window seat, visualize bringing a chair or something comfortable to sit on as you look out the window.
I find the transition to the next part to be easiest if you are looking outside to the night time. I usually spend a long time here. I enjoy looking out windows even in my cr.
I was listing to a subliminal, but if you think that it will fit you better, you could listen to any music that you would listen to in your dr.
After looking out the window and really feeling like you're there and are content, get up and walk to your dr bed and go to sleep in the position you are laying in in your cr. This is how I learned that my dr room has carpet, because I hadn't really planned out the room that much.
This is the point where I suppose you could make it an awake method by seeing the sun rise and going about a morning routine? I don’t fully understand how wake methods work yet.
As you’re falling asleep, think about how excited you are for the next day, what you want to do when you wake up in your dr. I personally decided that it was the night before the first day at school, but if you wanted you can have it be the day before meeting up with friends or a holiday, preferable the night before something you’re looking forward to.
If you’re feeling a disconnect of your cr self from dr self, I would recommend using a bit of the melt method here. Visualize your cr self melting into your bed and kind of reforming into your dr self.
Then fall asleep and you should wake up in your dr :)
I am not but I know a lot of people want to shift to hogwarts. If you want to shift to the first day and you haven’t really/dont want to work out what your room not at hogwarts is, you can probably edit this so that the window is just the hogwarts express and you just fall asleep in the compartment, but then I dont know how different this is from the train method.
Happy shifting, and you Will shift.
Season 1 Screen Time New Method Complete!
I think I may have mentioned it on this blog but just in case I haven’t; I developed a new method for calculating the screen time that’s more accurate than the method I was using before. Of course this method also takes longer but that’s the price you pay for accuracy.
Anyway, I just completed my re-do of season 1 and I wanted to share the changes. There wasn’t much difference, but going forward* I will be using this data for any posts so I wanted to have a record of it, both for your reference and mine. *(with the exception of the meta posts because I’m over halfway done so it wouldn’t make sense to change it now.)
I was going to make new charts but the differences aren’t that big so instead I’m breaking down the key differences below the cut. First going episode-by-episode to show which characters screen time was affected, and then breaking down the change in totals for season 1, and finally sharing any changes to the average screen time for each character.
The Weirwood Method
The Weirwood Method, also known as the Poison Tree Method, is a reality shifting method that has a memorization element and its own poem/hymn. This method was based upon the Weirwood tree that in Westeros, is a physical embodiment of the Old Gods of the Forest. Although this method was created with shifting to Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire in mind, there will be a non GOT/ASOIAF version under the cut at the end of the unchanged version.
I’m currently working on a subliminal to go along with this method. You’ll know when it is up because this will be replaced with the link.
This method is completely safe to be mixed with other methods.
1. Do whatever you usually do before shifting. Showering, drinking water, meditation, etc.
2. Lie down in a comfortable position.
3. Envision your drself sitting beneath a Weirwood tree. Visual reference at the end.
4. Close your eyes. Focus on feeling everything around you, the snow, the grass, the white bark against your back, the wind.
5. Eventually as you sit you start to cry red tears. Feel them run down your face. As you cry recite this:
I cry beneath this tree
as this tree cries with me
I cry tears of poison
as this tree cries with me
I hear the wind howl through the red leaves
as this tree cries with me
I press my palm against its face
as this tree cries with me
Let me through your leaves so I may return home I whisper
as this tree whispers too
I cry myself to sleep and I hear the ivory tree whisper “You are already where you desire child”
as this tree cries with me
Old gods take me home
6. When you get to the line “I press my palm against its face” reach your hand up to press your palm against the face of the Weirwood tree.
7. If you would rather repeat a single affirmation than recite a poem, repeat the first two lines in between numbers as you count to one hundred like in the Raven Method.
I cry beneath this tree
as this tree cries with me
8. After you finish reciting the poem, go to sleep and wake up in your DR.
Didn’t shift last night, but it was kinda my fault cuz I got lazy on my own method
Gonna try again tonight and actually do my method correctly lmao
(I know it’s a good method because I’ve done it and gotten symptoms before; it’s my own made up method so lmk if y’all want the process. It doesn’t have a name yet tho lol)
Shifting? Part two
ok, so first of all, I haven’t successfully shifted yet, but i have a weird story to talk about. I took a nap today mid afternoon, and was having a dream. In the dream there was a huge portal and people would just in it to escape, but not everyone knew had to use it. Anyways, I was running away from some people and I jumped into the portal. It was like water but i sunk through it. I tried to imagine where i wanted to go but it happened so quickly and literally felt like I was shifting. I started hearing high pitched noises and saw a really bright light and so I pushed myself all the way to the bottom of the portal. I started sitting up and i was in a completely different place-i realized that i was shifting but i had no idea where i was and i started freaking out. I hadn’t made a safe word yet so i started screaming safe word and trying to go back through the portal, but it was gone. I was sitting in a fountain. I remembered that my safe action was three taps on the wrist and I woke up back in my room. Wtf.
