Hey guys! Quick question, what was it like as a newborn? Was it hard getting used to the new life you were gifted with? Thank you! Much love!
“It was better than any drug I’d tried in my human life. No question about it. I jumped in head first and didn’t look back! No hesitation. I drank up that sire’s blood and made my first kill shortly after. No regrets,” Paul stated, matter of fact, with a direct no. “Anyone who tells you otherwise about me is a liar in need of a good high!”
“Well, unlike my bro here, there was a little hesitation on my end. I was tricked into it and confused,” Marko said, even though he was laughing like it didn’t matter. “It’s not so much after the first kill you got to get used to. It’s the time before that, when you’re a half and when you deny it, like most sane people do, it makes adjusting hard as fuck. I was trying to come up with every logical explanation under the fucking sun. Then when I realized David was telling the truth, I wanted to kill him. But that first drink of pure blood makes everything better. Especially when you have a mentor like David at your side, showing you the ropes.”
“The only thing I had a hard time with was the strength that comes with it. I was already a fighter, throwing punches in the ring to try to make something so I didn’t starve. After David offered me this life, I threw my fair share of humans across back alleys and killed them before I could get a drink.” Dwayne shrugged. “I got it down now.” He smiled.
“I think the hardest part was the allure,” David admitted. “I knew how to hustle already. I knew how to command when I needed to and get what I wanted out of any deal on the street. Having it all handed to me with just a look and not so much work really threw me for a loop. I actually denied several hosts that could have been food, which I desperately needed. Max would always get so fucking pissed off,” he laughed. “But we’d turn the corner and there’d be another offering us whatever we needed, just to get near me. I hated the blood that was that giving. It didn’t taste right.”
