Our rifflord's latest audio interview, talking about the writing process and his double shot on it as songwriter and producer, enjoy! - Dan on the Adelphoi Show (Nov27th 2018) - part2 - "Int: How do you have to separate them, you as a producer from the writing process, band member….? Dan: It’s tough. You have to really leave your ego at the door. That’s the most important thing. Because you can get so stuck on realizing essentially, it’s your song, and you can really hit some serious blind spots and you really have to listen to everyone in the band. Not try to shut up shop. Realize your vision can find a way anyway, and sort of direct it down the path I want it to. I mean like yesterday was a particularly tough day where we were loggerheads about a song. There were two different choruses and Justin and I really liked one, and Frankie and Ru really liked another, and it was like, head to head. It was literally like sitting down at school and I as the producer had to hash it out, no one’s seeing eye to eye, and we got there in the end. It was a toil. It ended up to be the best of both worlds and everyone was really happy. It’s difficult. Normally, I would’ve just stuck my heels in, as a musician. But as a producer, you have to be open to that stuff. It’s difficult sometimes. I used to arrange it so I would just have the rest of the band drilled, so well-rehearsed so when we went into the studio, whatever studio,  I could just focus on primarily engineering, and then switch into performance with an assistant helping to, you know, press “record” when I’m playing along. But as we discussed earlier, it’s kind of all happening at once now. "#NewInterview: Candice Swanepoel thinks her four-month-old son Anacã is "incredible". The 28-year-old supermodel welcomed her little one into the world with her husband Hermann Nicoli in October 2016 and has admitted she was surprised by how well she took to motherhood because she never felt especially maternal when she was younger. She explained: "Anacã is incredible - I look at him and I can't believe he's mine. As a young girl, I didn't ask to hold other people's babies but I definitely felt nature's call to be a mummy and I'm just loving it. The first few months devoting my time to him has been really important." And, although she's enjoying spending time with her tot, the blonde bombshell is looking forward to getting back on the catwalk because she's always been an "independent career woman". She told OK! magazine: "I've always been an independent career woman, so I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to work. I'm going to have a lot of help from family members, so hopefully everything will go well. I can't wait to get back on the runway." She may have shrunk back to her pre-baby weight but Candice has made it her mission to become "greener and healthier" throughout the year and wants to do all she can to be environment friendly. The South African model added: "Every year it's important to me to be healthier, more green, I try not to use as much plastic and be better to the planet. She took a break from being generally fabulous to have a chat with us about babies, beauty and everything in between. The new fragrance is very sweet! Is that what you look for in a perfume? I like to mix up my perfumes a lot but I'm loving this one. It's almost edible, it smells so good. It's perfect for a girl who’s' fun, who likes to go out and go on dates. The notes are a mixture of floral and sweet. Do you think you can tell something about a woman by her perfume? I do. Fragrance can be an extension of your personality - like clothes. Thats why I say it's fun to mix it up. Smells can bring back memories, and it's always nice to leave your mark for people to remember. So you like sweet smells, does that mean you have a sweet tooth too? I do! I definitely do. Especially after my pregnancy. The shoot for Juicy was full of cakes and cupcakes so it was fun! I never used to have a sweet tooth but during my pregnancy it changed and now I have a major one. Living is Brazil is so hard because they make so many delicious desserts. Everything with caramel and coconut cream in it, so it's hard to resist. They eat it for breakfast here! It's totally okay. What's your typical morning beauty routine? I love to have a sun kissed glow, even if I haven't got a tan. I use a bit of bronzer - and a highlighter is always really nice. I keep it simple but I can't go without a mascara and a lip-to-cheek tint. And for a date night? I don't think it's good to wear too much make-up on date night.
