Like an illuminated work of art, reminiscent of pieces created by Julio Le Parc, Luis Tomasello, Jesús Rafael Soto, this wall-mounted design features numerous panels that can be opened and closed to create an infinite number of compositions. 

While the precise number of Programma lights produced was never documented, the design was one of the more expensive works by New Lamp and very few originals are known.

I made this lamp out of an old #yashica #twinlensreflex camera that was broken beyond repair+ a tripod from my #kodakeastman #largeformat camera which is nearly 100 years old. I took apart the inside removed some knobs and mirrors. I didn’t have a drill, so I spent a ’methodic’ amount of time using a screws that progressively got bigger to be able to feed the wire through it. Then I used a “make a lamp” kit from the hardware store to connect the wire to the bulb. Now I have a lamp to replace the one I knocked over while moving.
