How often I need reminding of the things God has spoken, of the things He has done for me! . . Tonight, my parents and I had a lovely dinner with a missionary couple--Robert and Ruth--whom my parents befriended almost 30 years ago in Edmonton, Canada. I expected it to just be an ordinary family-friend dinner, but thankfully the God whom we serve is no ordinary God. Before I knew it, I was joyfully sharing about my spiritual journey with Christ throughout college, as well as my life-changing experience in Bwadjout, Haiti over a year ago. In sharing, God reminded me yet AGAIN how much He had delivered me after years of frustration, depression, and grief. He reminded me how He had repeatedly showered me with His love and grace, speaking to me through brothers and sisters in LA, New York, and even Haiti...He reminded me of the dreams and visions He has placed on my heart to pursue. . . As we drove away from their home, I kept sensing these words in my heart and mind: "Do not forget the words I [God] have spoken to you." It is only too easy for me to lose sight of the promises God has given me, letting them quickly fade into the past. It is too easy for me to forget that He has indeed done many great and wonderful things in and through my life. But God is now compelling me not only to remember these truths and stories, but to boldly TESTIFY who He is and what He has done. He is now calling me to eagerly seek after Him with my whole heart, and to live each day with the sole purpose of following Him. . . Prayer Challenge: What promises or commands from God have you forgotten or neglected? What does it look like to boldly witness to others what God has graciously done in your life? Oh Lord, please forgive me for often forgetting all You have said and done for me. I pray that You would daily remind me of Your grace and goodness, and that You would mold me into a humble and bold witness for Your kingdom. Amen. . . #prayerjourney #prayerchallenge #day11 #neverforget #remembrance #boldlywitness #Heisgood #faithful #perseverance #purposed #forHim #oldfriends #newrevelations #family #inChrist #vancouver (at North Vancouver, British Columbia)
