Okay I'm not good with fanfic but I just thought of some which I thought were pretty decent • Thomas overhears WCKD talking about how Newt is gonna be the next boy to be sent up to the maze and they have to wipe his memory tomorrow and then send him up, Thomas realizes it's his best friend, his soul mate and he doesn't want to lose him but he can't stop it from happening, so he goes to Newts room and they spend the whole night together and he just holds Newt so tight because he can't let him go, then the next day, before they wipe his memory, he tells Newt he's always loved him, and he says he loves him too. • Thomas is watching the gladers in the Maze when he sees his old best friend Newt, who he is in love with, on top of the Maze, he starts freaking out and yelling into the computer screen to please don't jump please don't leave him, and when Newt jumps, Thomas' heart shatters and he runs to Ava and begs her to send people to help him and keep him alive because he can't lose Newt, but she says it's all apart of the trials and he knew they'd have to sacrifice the young for this to work, then Thomas gets so mad and curls up on the ground crying, and gets up and tells her "put me in the maze right now, I don't care about my life if it doesn't involve him, I'm not gonna watch anyone die anymore, I'm not gonna lose my best friend, wipe my memory I don't care because I'll always be in love with him, I'm going in there whether I'm a part of this or not." And that's how Thomas ended up in the Maze.
