Newt thought nothing of the dare, pressing his mouth against Tommy’s. They were addictingly soft, graceful and addicting.
As they pulled away, one thing was clear.

But they were here.
“I love you,” Thomas whispered, finally, against Newt’s lips; blood-sticky, fingernails tearing his throat.
And with his heart falling into a black abyss, Thomas pulled the trigger.

In the end there was no big dramatic moment. No near death experiences to serve as an excuse. There was just Newt, beautiful in the sunlight, and Thomas seeing his smile and thinking, oh. I want to kiss him.
