I feel like the best way I could describe hybridization between monsters and humans is kind of like how breeding certain wild cats and domestics is done. The results may have softer, rounder features but best believe it’s still a creature very capable of fucking you up.

Of course, the process varies from monster to monster species. Those from Harlequin’s type might not look/behave quite the same as those from Ticket Taker’s type, so on and so forth.

Idk, just thoughts I’m having.

I may ramble more about it later on, but in short the Glade is one of the hidden places monsters live like Neko mentioned in the latest AMA.

Like canon lore states it’s incredibly difficult to mind, even more-so since they are charged with protecting one of the rare things that come about between humans and monsters, and that’s hybrid offspring. It’s one of the few havens in the world that such progeny can grow and live safely, at least until they’re old enough to care for themselves.

Soleil is the current matriarch that keeps the Glade safe and orderly, and her daughter Dolci is next to take her place when her mother no longer can. Of all the current ocs that I have that routinely interact with the circus Deidre (my MC) is the only one who ends up living in the Glade for a time.

I also have a bunch of other oc’s that live in the Glade permanently, and I’ll likely talk more about them in the future.

Long Forgotten

Thomas’s eyes refused to leave the screen. It was harder to breathe every time those brown eyes even glanced at the Beetleblades. His heart fluttered in his chest before crashing on the ground.

Newt was miserable in the Glade.

He was miserable holding Alby’s hand and forgetting his first love.

any other maze runner fans wish we could have a movie/show that's based on life in the glade before thomas arrived -or another idea such as when alby first arrived and the other arrivals at the beginning before everything went to shit

self indulgent newt headcanons based in various AUs that are basically me just projecting because i love him and hes me and all of this is in my head anyway:

-newt would listen to dad rock and be really annoying about it. he’s breaking it down to “love her madly” by the doors and if you ask what band it is he incredulously yells “YOU DONT KNOW THE DOORS ???”

-i like to think that the gladers all joke about how you can get away with everything around newt as long as you do it quietly, because he has really poor eyesight but WICKED just never checked him out or gave him glasses

-highschool newt would complain about how media literacy is dying out every single time someone asks a dumb question about a book theyre reading in english class

-i do kinda think newt would be more prone to developing addictions. modern newt probably smokes like a chimney and everytime someone asks he goes on an angry rant about how smoking is the worst and how cigarette companies need to be nuked
