Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to my followed and everyone else! So I wasn't going to do any resolutions, however last night I decided to make more of a bucket list of things I want to accomplish. So here it goes: 1. Visit Shiner/Spoetzl Brewery 2. Go to Texas Renaissance Festival 3. Remodel my Bedroom 4. Take at least One Picture a Day for a Year 5. Get my CHL license 6. Pay off my car 7. Go a Date at least once a month 8. Write more poetry 9. Post more on Tumblr 10. Buy Xbox One

2014

Despite the fact that I don’t usually make these since we shouldn’t have to wait for a new year to make changes to our lives - I think the idea of making a new year’s resolution is kind of refreshing. (And besides, what harm can it do?) Here are a few things on my list:

Be happier

Dedicate myself to everything I do

Be more confident - I’m so sick of always holding back

Stop shrinking myself for the benefit of others. Everyone including myself deserves to shine.

Stop stressing over the insignificant things. Ask myself, “will this matter 10 years from now?”

Change my negative mindset - forget the “I can’t”s and start replacing them with the idea that anything is possible with hard work and passion.

Stop putting myself down. I shouldn’t have to change for anybody.

Love myself

New Year's Resolution?

Happy Families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way..

Good quote. It comes from a book. It is a terribly big book full of big words and recurring plot devices. You probably haven't read it.

I understand--big books are hard to get into. Reading in general is hard to get into. This is where I come in.

I'm been the designated student "librarian" for the last three years of my life. My job has a bunch of kids asking me what to read for a book report. Or just for enjoyment.

My job doesn't pay the bills--but I like it. I recommend the Hunger Games to any one that asks for a book. I try to asses my classmates personality and point them to a classic they will enjoy--I'm pretty good at that.

But, I get so frustrated! There are so many great books out there. I'm still reading, and I will be posting what I read and my opinion on this blog. I'm going to rate each book and also give it a difficulty level.
