Could Bandai Namco US Announce New Tamagotchi Connection Shells at 2024 New York Comic-Con Panel?

We’re all patiently waiting for the announcement of new Tamagotchi Connection shells (the second wave). Bandai Japan has already announced their four new shells, which welcomed back two shells from the early 2000’s by a poll. Bandai Namco US has been silent on new shells after the initial release of the Tamagotchi Connection 20th Anniversary.

Fall 2024 Tamagotchi Original shells were announced back in late August, 2024, but new Tamagotchi Connection shells were not. Tara Badie, Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America, Senior Director Brand Strategy did mention in an interview with RaTamaZone back in June, 2024 that there would be four new shells each season.

So that has us wondering, when will the four new shells be announced? Will we skip over Fall and jump right to winter? That does seem likely at this point. Bandai Namco US will be bringing that beautiful Tamagotchi booth to the 2024 New York Comic-Con, along with a ‘Fun With Tamagotchi’ panel which might be the perfect way introduce new shells. Now hear us out, they did introduce the Tamagotchi Original Toys “R”Us shell at the ‘Fun With Tamagotchi’ panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, so they could in theory announce new Connection shells, right?

Imagine the audience at the ‘Fun With Tamagotchi’ panel at the 2024 New York Comic-Con giving a standing ovation as the Tamagotchi team showcases the four new shells on the projector screen. We’ll just have to wait and see if this is the case!

Bandai Namco US Shares 2023 New York Comic-Con Tamagotchi Booth Offerings

New York Comic-Con begins on Thursday October 12th, 2023 and runs until Sunday, October 15th, 2023! Are you ready? If you’ve got your tickets then you definitely want to add the Tamagotchi booth to your list of exhibits to visit!

Bandai Namco US will be bringing an impressive booth display previously showcased at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, and the best part? You’ll be able to shop for tons of Tamagotchi’s and accessories!

Bandai Namco US has just shared out on their social media profiles which products they’ll be bringing, along with their prices. The offerings look identical to the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, so that is great news!

You can pick everything yup from a Tamagotchi Uni to a Tamagotchi Original, including those two convention exclusive shells for 2023, and some Nano’s! There’s even Tamagotchi Uni accessories, including bands, lanyards, charms, and more.

Oh, and you’ll also get a free Tamagotchi tote bag with the purchase of one device, limit one per customer. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Bandai handing out some free NYCC23 can badges either! What items do you have your eyes on?

Tamagotchi Booth at New York Comic-Con 2023

New York Comic-Con 2023 is part of the World Tamagotchi Tour that Bandai is on following the global release of the Tamagotchi Uni this Summer. This is the second convention that they attended and it looked really familiar to those who attended the San Diego Comic-Con 2023!

This is very common that Bandai uses elements, if not the entire booth display at various events throughout the year. We’ve seen the booth design at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, New York Toy Fair 2023, and now New York Comic-Con 2023!

The booth featured the classic large Tamagotchi Original in the Mametchi Spaceship shell, a 2023 convention exclusive with a large screen inside playing promotional videos.

Bandai Namco US also brought statues of both Kuchipatchi and Mametchi which were a huge hit too. You’ll also see the Tamagotchi Nano’s were on display, as well as the Tamagotchi Original wall that we all know and love. We really love this display!

Of course the Tamagotchi Uni was on display in its showcase along with accessories such as the bands, and lanyards.

The Tamagotchi Uni photo opportunity was another huge hit at the booth! Bandai Namco US brought the large Tamagotchi Uni in pink that is the frame for the perfect photo opportunity, and that cute background. Many booth visitors were taking advantage of this!

The booth also provided an area for visitors to purchase some of the latest Tamagotchi’s, including the Tamagotchi Original convention exclusive shells, Tamagotchi Uni, and several Tamagotchi Nano’s. New for the New York Comic-Con 2023 were these television screens above the booth which provided live updates on inventory, and more information on which shells required a ticket. Talk about an upgrade!

Those who purchased a Tamagotchi Uni receive Tama Stickers that are exclusive to the World Tamagotchi Tour. That includes UFO Hat, Tama Tour Flag, and Tama Tour Rainbow. All purchases were packaged in an exclusive World Tamagotchi Tour bag along with a Tamagotchi World Tour can badge!

Gorilla Biscuits To Celebrate 30th Anniversary 7” With Reissue and Action Figure

  All-time great NYHC band Gorilla Biscuits have teamed up with Super7 toy company and Revelation Records to reissue their classic original 7” record this Friday. To celebrate they will host an event at Coney Island Baby, in New York, this Friday, October 5th at 8:00pm-10: 00 pm located at 169 Avenue A, Lower East Side, New York City. Released in 1988 as Revelation Records fourth release, This first press tribute box set features a blue clothbound display box with a white foil stamp on the cover and brand new first press tribute blue card Gorilla Biscuits ReAction Figure with GB logo display base. The GB display base is also a 7” large hole adapter which conveniently fits the new 30th anniversary 7”. Revelation put out the original GB recordings and Super7, in town this week for New York Comic Con is unveiling their new line of re-action figures of beloved toys, bands, and pop culture phenomenon. Past band collaborations for Super7 include Iron Maiden and The Misfits.
