Charlotte had wanted nothing to do with whatever it was that Miles was planning. His pranks always ended up with him getting in trouble or someone getting upset, and it wasn’t something she liked to be involved with. She had gotten a bad feeling about the prank Miles was showing her, but she went along to see it anyway. When she saw everything, the laptops, the cameras, she was amazed. It must have taken Miles forever to plan something like that. And even if she hated to admit it, she was pretty damn impressed. At least she was impressed up until the moment that everything went wrong, and the lock down came into place. "Please tell me this is a part of the prank," she mumbled, running a hand through her hair to calm herself.
But it couldn't be that bad, right? Maybe this would only happen for a few minutes and then everything would go back to normal, and she could pretend like nothing ever happened and Miles would get off with detention and no severe punishment and everything would be great. But her positive thoughts didn't stop her from worrying. The bad feeling she had before was just starting to get worse. Moving towards the door, she turned the handle and pulled, just in case, but of course nothing happened. "You've got to be kidding me."
