Now that daylight savings time is off (which is still a fucking stupid thing to do), it should be easier for me to do night photography without staying out too late.
New York City hasn’t felt safe this year. Not just from the pandemic, but also from attacks against Asian americans... for being Asian, and the rising gun violence throughout the boroughs. I don’t feel compelled to go out to take photos as much these past few months. I’m okay with that.

With the pandemic still ongoing, and a renewed anti-Asian sentiment thrown into the mix, including all these recent attacks and killings on the subway, going out to photograph the snow was a risk I was stupid enough to make.
No, it’s not a good thing; there’s nothing positive at the end. These are troubling times in so many goddamn ways, and it’s all I could focus on while walking around and taking photos. It’s probably gonna get worse.
May 14, 2020 Took a 2 hour long walk. Couldn't see what I was taking photos of. It was so dusty. There's nothing out there.
