I liked a reverse starter call; writing for Luca. Muse Chosen: Ravein (Varia verse)

He didn’t understand. What did this mean? Tilting his head side to side in confusion, he stared at this mysterious cryptic message he’d been sent: 

[Haru] What do you mean you can’t find it?ヾ(｀◇´)ﾉ彡 

He’d been asked to locate a cake in a secret hidden away location, but he couldn’t find such a thing. The thing... at the end... what does it mean? He turned to the person who happened to be next to him, pointing to the message on his tablet. Wordlessly, he’s requesting for an explanation.

Smoke billows all around him as he exhales, gaze trained on the man across from him. An outsider. Miya Hana. A man Frenchie a week ago was not even aware of and who now is capturing the entirety of his attention. The effortless smiles he throws around and the way his lithe arm rests around the shoulders of the man who has hired him to be his date... For some reason, a strange thoughts rises in Frenchie’s mind. 

He rises from his seat, picking up the empty bottles of wine while putting out his cigarette, before making his way towards the kitchen. He can hear the voices of the others as he looks through his wine selection and picks two bottles. His thoughts circle back to Hana again, not understanding fully why he is so captivated with the man.

To say that it was a little alarming to find the other like this was a bit of an understatement . He had sought the other out , now that he finally got a break from the kitchen , with a little present from Emi wrapped in a cloth napkin in tow . Emi’s baked goods was refreshing , after a long day . But the batch of cookies was soon forgotten the moment Miceli came into his sights .

Dropping them , he placed a hand on his arm , gentle and surprisingly comforting for someone as awkward as he was . If he was at all affected by the vice grip the other had on him , he didn’t show it .  It hurt him , seeing the other like this . He was so used to seeing the other smiling , it was jarring to see him in so much . . . Pain and fear .

“    I’m not going anywhere ,     “    Thatcher said calmly , hand reaching out to cradle the back of his head . Eyes , the color of muddled blood , met his as he leaned in , pressing their brows together .   “     I’m right here .    “   Eyes closing , the hand that Miceli clung to loosened enough to fix their position , fingers lacing with them instead .

The woman just rolls her eyes. Charming someone so they’ll be her slave, to be at her beck and call? That quite frankly sounded really tiresome and annoying. Was it really that odd for her to make food and to then offer some to another Varia member? She didn’t think so, but perhaps that’s just how it was.

Haru was very unamused. “You could just say so if you don’t want it. I was practicing my cooking skills and made a lot is all.” She huffed. These two were fellow amnesiacs, and Haru felt a sense of camaraderie with him.

“If you’re so paranoid about it, I can take a bite out of the food in front of you to prove that nothing was ‘charmed’ or whatever stupid conspiracy theory you have.” The choice is his. Accept the bento, or make her take a bite and THEN take the bento.

he gives the hand holding his a gentle squeeze, warmed to the core by the his demon’s concern.  it felt real;  the sort of genuine energy that was hard to imitate in a way that truly gave off no lingering hints of ill-will.  “ if you knew of a way to get all the information your heart desires, wouldn’t you give everything you had to get your hands on it regardless of the consequences? ”  he spoke in hushed tones, not wanting to be rude to the client standing before them.  it wasn’t as much as he would normally charge, no, but despite not being able to see his client’s face he could  FEEL  their desperation rolling off of them in waves.

they knew the rules, the use of  precognition  could be the only service he provides for them;  with it being the ability that siphons the most energy, he would physically be unable to do anything else that day, which is exactly why it’s priced unusually high.  he felt for them.  he truly did.  he didn’t expect jiu shao or anyone else to understand such humane feelings of self-sacrificing compassion, though.  “ besides ...  you’ll nurse me back to health, won’t you? ”

Lifting her arms , she looked down at the cat , who meowed at her expectantly and looked to Yao , just as questioningly .      “       And I don’t know why . “

He’s been craving some Take Sushi for days now , and the only thing that has stopped him so far was sheer laziness . It took too much effort to use the resources to fly out to Japan , just for some sushi . Though , it was good sushi . One of the best he has ever had , actually . And the chef ? A true master of the blade .

“   You’re on hold for now ,    “   Bel announced as he approached Luca , only briefly glancing about the other soldiers socializing with Luca . “    No more missions until I say so .    “   Maybe he will find the energy the more he thought about the freshly made sushi .
