oh oh oh 1, 4, 23, 25
1) is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?
YES lol I want to write a post-series Person of Interest fic from the new baby Machine’s POV where Root is FINE and the Machine learns about humanity and love all over again from being with Root and Shaw. I keep not doing it because writing is a real struggle for me lately and also because I don’t know if I can do an AI’s point of view and have it not be terrible.
4) favorite character you’ve written
Yikes man what a question! Maybe Tamsin. Baby Tamsin, even. Guys I miss Lost Girl.
23 I still have no answer for!
25 I’ll do again, copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
From look for my love where the sun shines:
Elsa's hands get cold when she thinks of what might have been, should have been, and she remembers her sister, near death. Anna, who she loves most in the world. Anna, made of ice. Her birds freeze and fall and shatter. Anna flinches at the sound, but it's not fear, not from the girl who never once believed her sister was the enemy.
First legit post.
I was intrigued a few months ago by a YouTube video from Kalina in her quest to start the Big Talk Movement. While I don’t necessarily have a desire to speak with strangers in my day-to-day life, I’d love to have a dialog with myself, and maybe some friends and family online.
So today for my first post, I’m grabbing a card and getting this ball rolling: “What is your next great adventure?”
This year I’ve given myself the task of 4 things: Get my motorcycle certification, learn the art of burlesque, start blogging and vlogging regularly, and take more photos!
I’ve made my start of taking slightly more photos while out and about, but the lack of use of my new DSLR is really making my heart sad. So, it’s time to bust it out more whether to take more still images, or videos for YouTube. I feel it will help keep me honest in my other ventures for this year that I’ve had in mind. I’d like to create an online trail of my adventures in getting to know myself in a way I’ve never experienced, all while becoming more confident. As for the other goals, they easily go hand-in-hand with taking more pictures and videos of my world. I’ll get to track my progress, and have fun while doing it.
So, here we are. I’m putting myself out in the world this year in a new way. The adventure... will I stick to my goals? Will I let fear control my decisions? How will I handle any road blocks? The plan is to have all of that documented here to hold me accountable. I have no more excuses. Let’s do this.
What is your next great adventure? How are you staying motivated with your goals? And are you allowing fear to keep you from living the life you want to live?

nextgreatadventure replied to your post: Last night was bad, but I managed. Not...
I’m just a random person on the internet but I want to let you know that I’m proud of you for making it through last night without making things worse
You have no idea how many random people on the internet I now consider close friends. I appreciate it a lot. A lot. Thank you.
Next Great Adventure
Over the course of the past six weeks, I was stuck in a musty classroom with twenty-five other faces that I've never seen in my life.
It was torture.
It was health class.
Day after day, we learned about topics that revealed what it was like to lead a healthy life – from STD Prevention to exercise, we covered it all. I now consider myself an expert on birth control and condoms.
My teacher was not exactly the most charismatic man on the planet. He prefers to keep to himself and would rather make us work on countless numbers of worksheets rather than engage the class in a lively and energetic discussion. I guess you can say that he was shy.
But after six weeks of worksheets, he finally came up with the greatest lesson plan of all.
He told us to take out a clean piece of paper and write down our answers to the questions he was about to give us.
“Tomorrow, you will have 24 hours to do whatever you want to do. What are you going to do?”
That was an easy question. I would sleep, of course. I've had to get up early the past six weeks. Now is as good a time as any to finally catch up on some much needed zzzz’s. Then, I want to eat a magnificent feast and then head to the beach with my family and friends. Sounds like an awesome day, if you ask me.
But after that, he asked us to turn over our paper and answer the next question.
“Tomorrow will be your last 24 hours on earth. What are you going to do now?”
And that got me thinking.
24 hours to finish up your life. How do you do that? How can you possibly fit in everything you want to do in just 24 hours? Where will you go? Who will you talk to? When will you find the time to say your last words to everyone you love? In just 24 hours.
But as Albus Dumbledore once said, “To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.”
