I start my chemotherapy tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it 😥
it’s itchy
So im under a specialist hospital now for my lung tumour as they now suspect it's cancer - a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumour (MPNST)
They want me to start chemotherapy and radiotherapy as soon as possible so they can reduce the size of the tumour and then remove it with surgery.
I've got my biopsy on Thursday to take a sample from the neurofibroma in my shoulder. I'm kinda nervous about it since I've never had one before. They're going to do it with a local anaesthetic, which I've had before so I'm fine about that. I'm just more nervous about what result might come from the biopsy 😕
So my hospital is looking at removing the two large tumours I have in my chest, cos they are causing me quite a lot of pain and breathing problems. I've had a nasty cough for the best part of a month where the tumours are pushing on one of my lungs.
They want to do a biopsy first and that will hopefully be in the next two weeks, I have the pre-assesment booked for next week on the 27th December so hopefully they can get me in asap. And if all goes well looks like I'll be having the operation in January.
Has anyone had a similar operation to remove large neurofibromas and what was the recovery like?
So I'm like 20% sure I have a new fibroma growing in my throat. I know I already have a few in there for sure, I learned about them years ago when I had my tonsillectomy. But I think I'm getting a new one. Fuck.
