This.
Someone finally explained it
“You’re too young to be on so many medications!”
I don’t want to be on them, either, but here we are. Looks like we’re both disappointed by this interaction.
Being chronically ill and disabled be like; “sorry, I can’t hang out— i existed the wrong way at the wrong time today and now I’m bound to my bed for the unforeseeable future… perhaps a scheduled video call in two weeks or longer could resemble my absent presence?”
"it is recommended to take short walks to avoid fatigue".
And HOW am I supposed to do that when I HAVE FATIGUE.
I wish they'd at least be more specific like,
"it is recommended that once in a blue moon when the stars are aligned and you have approximately 5 minutes of energy before you are dead in bed for the next six days, go walk to your mailbox and back".
At least that would be realistic.
Some chronic pain memes for extra hurty times
Happy disability pride month \(*^-^*)/
