With these adorable and delicious NFL football cake pops, you'll score a touchdown at your Super Bowl party. These bite-sized treats are ideal for your game-day spread.
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting. 1 package of white candy melts. Black food coloring. White icing gel. Lollipop sticks.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the box to bake the chocolate cake. Allow it to totally cool down. In a large bowl, break up the cooled cake into small pieces. Mix the cake crumbs and chocolate frosting together until they are well mixed. Make small balls out of the mixture that look like footballs and put them on a baking sheet. Put a lollipop stick in the middle of each cake ball and freeze them for 30 minutes. You can use a double boiler or the microwave to melt the white candy melts. To cover each cake pop completely, dip it into the melted candy melts. Tap off any extra paint. Stand the cake pops up on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Add football laces to each cake pop with black food coloring. Put the candy coating away for a while. To add any extra details to the football design, use white icing gel. Now it's time to eat your Super Bowl football cake pops!
