I had 0 expectations in regard to Jay-Z and his NFL deal but this is extremely disheartening. Instead of criticizing a system of racist policing that protects the interests and well-being of the rich while consistently brutalizing and murdering black people and other minorities, this guy goes straight to antiquated respectability politics. This racist system stands because there are people that benefit from our oppression, exploitation,bloodshed and slave labor NOT because of single parent homes or other cultural flaws that are somehow specific to black people.
