Thinking about demon angel au where Albus is too late to stop the men from taking Sann away to his new owner and this new owner is a new whumper that keeps him down in a basement adorned like a greenhouse, misleading Sann to believe he can actually just take off when he has the chance only to be crushed by the reality he is an angel allowed to have wings but kept in a basement where the only sky he can soar is painted on a ceiling he will never be able to touch. 

Like the sheer desperation to satisfy this new whumper in order to be allowed out of his cage only to find out the hard way he´s trapped makes me feral. 

But also, him starting to lose it as he wants Albus to be ok and safe and back home, but also wants him to go save him, but also doesn´t want to even think the reason for that is that he was captured and killed by either humans or angels, while slowly beginning to think maybe he has left him behind when in reality Albus is violently searching for him

yea that seems hard isn't it—it requires you to repeatedly clear each room without providing any chance for you to make an error by taking damage at all, lest you simply don't get the damage bonus

HONESTLY. like? there’s motivation towards reining in zagreus’ impulsivity and ensuring that he doesn’t get hurt without even being there, which is SUCH a thanatos move imo.

he may act all aloof and cold and whatnot, but there’s no denying that he’s still looking out for his childhood friend’s wellbeing. he knows that zagreus is too stubborn to not go through with what he’s saying and than is still feeling stung that zag never said goodbye, but he still cares!
