So vibrant, so lively and such a wonderfully charming play. A contemporary twist on a traditional style of African theatre. It looks at the Narrator having to come up with a story to sell to ITV before he has to sign the contract in 24 hours. The signs aren't looking good as Chipo is too much of a strong independent woman, her self centered performer forced-into-marriage husband trying to steal the spotlight and Nhamo not looking like the warrior-est of warriors. Not just breaking the fourth wall but destroying it completely as it drags the audience into the performance with ooohs aaaahs and eeehs, a summer pantomime wonderfully done. Performed at the Tricycle Theatre and also now with an extended run I'd definitely suggest you get your butts out there and see it if you're looking for simply just a fun play that will make you laugh.
