His last message was simple. "If I'm gone, don't worry," wrote Ryan Chambers. "I'm not dead, I'm freeing minds. But first I have to free my own."

For days beforehand, the 21-year-old Australian backpacker had hardly slept, and his travelling companion, John Booker, wondered what was wrong. The men were staying at an ashram in India, on a spiritual journey of sorts, which was supposed to be coming to an end. But shortly after he disappeared in Rishikesh - barefoot and shirtless, and left behind his money, passport and mobile phone. He hasn’t been found since.

Ryan Chambers has released a new single called “You Could've Called”.

Speaking about “You Could've Called”, Ryan shares:

“This song to me represents loving something or someone that slowly chips away at your ability to continue loving. At the same time this understanding only goes so far when you're scared of change to the point that you don't. Sometimes you even grow addicted to the chaos that this person or thing provides you.”

General Inquiry!

I understand that we are preparing auditions for Universities and Drama Schools but is there anyone we can talk to if that's not the exact road we want to go down? I want to go to university to do directing and writing and i just want to know if there's anyone I can talk to about that? Also does that mean somebody can help me to edit my personal statement so it is more molded for this kind of course rather than acting?

The Epic Adventure of Nhamo the Manyika Warrior and His Sexy Wife Chipo

So vibrant, so lively and such a wonderfully charming play. A contemporary twist on a traditional style of African theatre. It looks at the Narrator having to come up with a story to sell to ITV before he has to sign the contract in 24 hours. The signs aren't looking good as Chipo is too much of a strong independent woman, her self centered performer forced-into-marriage husband trying to steal the spotlight and Nhamo not looking like the warrior-est of warriors. Not just breaking the fourth wall but destroying it completely as it drags the audience into the performance with ooohs aaaahs and eeehs, a summer pantomime wonderfully done. Performed at the Tricycle Theatre and also now with an extended run I'd definitely suggest you get your butts out there and see it if you're looking for simply just a fun play that will make you laugh. Zimmerman Case

Just heard more news on this. Turns out he got acquitted due to a Self Defence Legislation meaning that you can use any way means to defend yourself. This legislation is being discussed in Belgium and has been passed in Italy. It was also nearly passed in this country a few years back after a farmer killed two would be burglars with a shotgun. What do you think of all this?

A True Story

Just heard this incredible story of a man named Henry who had a rare mental illness. He could not remember facts only feelings. His father died when he was around 30 and everytime his fathers death was mentioned to him reacted as if he just found out the news, he went into a state of depression when he first found out but after he knew he felt depressed but didn't know why. I found this a really incredible story. That is all.

Technology in Theatre

When I got home today me and my Dad started to discuss technology in life and it got me thinking, there is a lot of technology in theatre. However there  is more in some shows than others like in Ubu there wasn't extremes amount of advanced technology but when I went to see Oklahoma! they had this virtual background scene of a corn field and I didn't really like. So, here's the question, excluding lighting, where do you stand on technology in theatre?
