Guys, I'm confused!

I have a subscription at NHL.tv.

Last year it was a Full-Season subscription. Now it was automatically renewed. But I paid less and it only says "Mid-season subscription"?! 🤔

Anyone here with an NHL.tv account with the same problem?

I contacted NHL.tv but as usual, so far I didn't get a reply 🙄

NHL.tv problems

I am a hockey fan and have been looking forward to the season. I won’t even get into the dreadful start to the season my team has turned in. This is about the streaming service and the horrid transition that they have made this season.

The short of it is that it seems that the companies running the streaming service have changed in numerous areas. In Japan it has changed from BAMtech (Disney owned) to NHL Interactive- but it looks like the company may be actually called Cheeng? So long time subscribers were not informed that it changed over so I was shocked when I renewed my subscription through the Apple Store but I was unable to access games.

I messaged the chatbot and asked for an e-mail, outlining that I am a long time subscriber and things weren’t working right. I didn’t know the operators had changed so was completely in the dark. Long story short, multiple e-mails beack and forth with the same person copying and pasting FAQ information how to stream to my Chromecast I pieced together what had happened. They had never once told me that it was likely because the system had changed over and never once responded to my demands that we deal with my account not with beginner user troubleshooting. I have worked in customer support before and I know that some agents tend to just look for the easiest answer, but the best way to support is to actually read what is being said and address the situation. I finally resorted to an all cap tirade demanding that a more competent agent message me. The same guy responded again- wtf? Outsourced help that have no idea what is going on or an AI program. Either way, very unimpressive.

What was the solution? Finally the NHL app updated and pointed to a new app to download to stream from with new subscription options. I decided to sign up again and try to get my money back. After going back to the horrid service from the customer support for a week with similar results I finally thought I would get better results from Apple’s App store. Found the report a problem page, requested a refund and two days later got my original money back.

I am posting this not to rant, but hoping that it may help someone who has had similar frustrations. But one thing that struck me is that customer service is dying and quality customer support is becoming more rare. Very disappointing.

Hockey tumblr, help a sis out

Idk about everyone else I saw this ad and I thought “wow, sounds great!” bc i am a poor college student who can’t afford cable and is not comfortable with going to bars or restaurants to watch the games only to find out that you cant actually watch any of the playoff games live bc they’re on TV?? is that not the point on nhl.tv?? 

Im ANNOYED and i want to WATCH HOCKEY which is literally what I paid for and i was wondering if anyone else is suffering similarly or has some solutions bc if i dont have hockey to distract me I start thinking about everything else and that’s bad so lmk!

There’s a new “Commercial Break in Progress” wait screen on NHL.tv and it looks like they’re forensic people at a crime scene. I know what it is, but that’s what it looks like and it’s weird.

Is it worth it to drop 25$/month for NHL.tv???
