With our new online exhibition “Rise Up L.A.: A Century of Votes for Women”, we invite you to hear the unique stories of women throughout Los Angeles history, engage in activities, and partake in related events, including:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ • What Issues Divided and United Female Voters?⁣⁣ • Hear From Women Who Walked Out, Stood Up, or Sat Down⁣⁣ • Vote on Issues That Defined Suffrage, and the 1920 Election⁣⁣ • Register to Vote⁣⁣ • And much more!⁣⁣ ⁣ Although our doors are currently closed, #RiseUpLA physically opens at #NHMLA on October 1 and will feature more than 100 objects—including political buttons, protest posters, fliers, and ephemera—and stories about choices women faced in a century of struggle.
