Woman Detained In Hospital For Weeks Joins Lawsuit Against New Hampshire
Imagine you are forced to go to a hospital to receive psychiatric treatment that you don't think you need. What rights would you have?
That's the question at the heart of a legal battle between the state of New Hampshire and the American Civil Liberties Union.
The case has big implications for New Hampshire, but it also highlights a nationwide problem: A shortage of mental health beds is leaving patients stranded in emergency rooms for days or weeks at a time.

Here's an article from NHPR on yesterday's trans rally in Manchester. It was a beautiful day with a ton of great people. We couldn't have asked for better.
The poems I read were "Family Feud," "Fireworks Are Pretty Bombs," and "Poem for America."
NPR running a story this morning, downplaying the threat to the US by MS-13. What a shame. All in an effort to discredit the President as he pushes back and calls for border security. Still, they did admit, that the MS-13 members entering the US look very young, like pre-teens in many cases. But since there is no nation toppling strategy by its members, and they seem only interested in personal vendettas among high school students, their reporter has concluded that they are not as dangerous as they are being made out to be. Sad NPR, Sad. Politics has poisoned reporting in the United States.
If you like quirky, informative podcasts then you should check out Outside/In. It's a show about the natural world and how we use it. Its following is still pretty small, but as a podcast listener, it's in my top three favorites. Check it out.
Hey Liberal Media, we know you’re gas lighting with the heartstrings immigrant children story. From listening to NPR, one would never know that the DOJ inspector general has uncovered political bias among lead investigators in the Clinton email case, and the Russia collusion probe. Congress is interviewing him and uncovering explosive revelations. But reported on NPR...??? Not a chance. They are on the child detention thing ALL DAY!!! Sure, its a story, deserves coverage, but ALL DAY??? REALLY...???
I’m sure the FBI bias findings by the IG isn’t reported on most liberal networks. But I can’t even turn on my TV these days. TV just makes me nauseous. But I do try to stay up with the liberal narrative via NPR on my way to work. They are basically only running one story right now. What’s also interesting, is that I don’t hear a word about American children, who have been separated from their parents who have been detained for violation of US laws. That also happens every day. And there are literally hundreds of thousands of them. But apparently, there is no political capitol to be gained there, so, lets run the Mexican kid story again...
Hey American public, I have this audio of some children crying. It is absolute proof of horrendous things happening to migrant children at the border. Please lash out with disgust at our president.
Everything Asian in NHPR Reads: May 2024
As the piece below informs, May is indeed Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month — and how lucky am I to have a friend who also happens to be an avid reader at NHPR, New Hampshire Public Radio? Very lucky indeed. Huge thanks to Jim for including my first novel, Everything Asian, to this extremely storied list! To paraphrase Wayne and Garth, I am not worthy! Everything Asian by…
