A Thank You.

It's another year and Covid's still here

The virus that has created such fear.

What about all our tired nurses?

Not paid enough in their purses!

All consultants, doctors doing long shifts

Hoping their concentration never drifts.

Our paramedics go out on each call

Wishing they could save all.

For hours they must wear masks

So uncomfortable, not an easy task

He can't breathe! can't breathe! they despair,

She's going blue! Everyday they care.

The virus has spread very quick

They are so weary but cannot ring in sick.

The media will give the NHS  bad press

You think they caused any of this mess?

They ask us, please follow all the rules

Those who do not are total fools.

For all of our amazing NHS staff

I hope you can still have the odd laugh,

Have a coffee or a glass of wine

All of you on the frontline!

And Covid what do you have to say?

Listen, you will NOT beat our teams, OK!

You do try us but soon we will win

Go away, stop causing all this din.

Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day. Welcome to the working week! Although, for those of you in the NHS, welcome to just another day!

As I said a few weeks ago, the British press are trying to kill Meghan Markle. Why? Because she’s black. They feel she will destroy the purity of the British royalty (although the royal family’s genes come from all over the place!) Harry has taken her abroad to protect her but the British press still plan to mess with her. Now they’re making up shit about her; some bogus story that she bulled her aides. The British press (the biggest bullies on the planet) want to criticise someone for being a bully. These are the same people that murdered Lady Diana and destroyed Jeremy Corbyn’s career; people that actually feel they have the moral high ground? What a joke!

If you have sympathy for the NHS nurses but you voted Tory, you’re a hypocrite! Tories don’t give a fuck about NHS nurses! They all go private: private hospitals, private doctors, private nurses. Why do NHS nurses put up with this shit? Because they care about their parents. Why do Tory MPs dick around with nurses’ lives? Because they can and because they know emotional blackmail will keep the nurses in line. Boris may go from 1% to 2%, 3% if we’re lucky but, if you look at the starting salary, it’s a few measly quid! HMRC staff got a 13% pay rise. That’s what the nurses should get. If you genuinely care about NHS nurses, you know who to vote for.

I had a wonderful weekend with The Mighty Josiah! Took him to the park on Sunday morning, just to let off some of his energy. I’ve got six blood grandkids (and I’ve just acquired an extra one), I just wish I could see the others? Maybe once Lockdown is over, it will be easier? One day, I will get a photo with all seven of them; that’s what I’m working on for summer.
