OLNF MC Frankie Li in Step Two

"Punk of the Promenade"

In step two, Frannie prefers their nickname over her actual name! Literally everyone calls her by her nickname.

She is more popular than ever! But she still stays (almost) the same girl that she has always been. Frannie acts more in the interests of other people than her own. She is a people pleaser. But even they know that not everyone can be happy. Frannie will still make her best attempt to be a friend of the people!

Frannie is quite the gossip. Not only does she get told a lot, they hear much more. Her peers think of her as unassuming but she has some very drama magnified friends that love to hear what she has found out about everyone.

There are not many people that they wouldn't hang out with. In fact, some people think they pick some of the most unlikely companions. The outcasts are often suprised by how easily she will interact with them and ask genuine questions. Her openness is as off putting as it is endearing sometimes.

They are also quite busy. If she isn't attending a club meeting, she is hanging with her friend group. And if they aren't with their group, they are making house visits to some other friends. Frannie doesn't mind though! She likes to be helpful to people and bring some company to those who desire it!

This is part of the whimsies au with some of my moots! Vivi and Tika are Frannie's close popular pupils! Tika and Frannie are gossiping besties and Vivian is getting all the tea spilled to her by those two (^ ^)

One thing that Opal hates is being the reason her child is unhappy, but she knows as much as Charmaine does that his hair needs to be cut sometimes. She tries to make sure that her son is as comfortable as possible before she even starts to cut his hair. As well as be quick as possible.

Charmaine will keep his eyes closed shut until his mama says that she is done. He HATES seeing his hair fall. In fact, he gets his hair put up so he doesn't have to see the change until he has to wash it again.

Charmaine's favorite stuffed animal is his blue axolotl plushie (aptly named Blue). That plushie is in a death grip as Maine is getting his hair cut. I like to think that Blue "mimics" Charmaine's emotions in that childhood whimsy kind of way. Which means that even though it's not real, it makes Charmaine feel better about his sadness and everything.

Maine's favorite color is pink. But most of his "things" in his home are the color green. Hence the green cup but his favorite pjs being his pink ones. He has somewhat matching pjs with his mama in a similar style to what Opal is pictured wearing in green but those are not his favorite.

Speaking of matching, Opal and Charmaine have matching toothbrush containers with their initials on them. They have had them for a long time. It is also the first memory that Maine has of learning his mama's "normal name."

OLNF Moot Appreciation Mini Comic

This mini comic shows the reaction that Frannie would have to being given this beautiful gift from Nene!! Of course she would be bouncing off the walls with joy and nearly knocking over her friend with a big hug!! <3

I'm going to say it again because I don't think I could ever say it enough, this project was breathtaking!!! There is nothing as impressive as putting your mind to something and doing. Especially when it is done so well! This was such a well thought out project!

I was very excited to see all of your art as well as the art for and of many of my other mutuals. It is a very beautiful collaboration and I am so glad to have been here to see it. Let alone be included!!

I hope you get all the rest you deserve from the huge amount of work you had put into it!! 🫶

Qiu was right when he said he would win the next race. However, Charmaine is pretty competitive when it comes to winning. He doesn't plan to let Qiu's win last too long. They should do another round and Maine will be sure to win this time!!

Being friends now means that Qiu gets a front row seat to Charmaine's cheeky side! But Qiu is up for another race around the park.
