how do you sharpen your gifs? they’re perfect!
aw thank you!! sometimes i feel like they're shitty so this is encouraging!
i use this action but i recorded some steps into it to make my gifs appear sharper with a slight grain effect. you can always hit record before you apply the action and proceed with these steps and save it as a new action!
apply action as normal
on the layers tab set opacity from 40% to 100
go to filter > other > high pass. i have mine set to 4.0
on the layers tab right click “high pass” and select “smart filter blending options.”
change "normal" to your preference. i started out using "soft light" but recently started using "hard light" *it sort of depends what quality content i'm working with!
i then add a grain filter by going to filter > filter gallery > "film grain" you can mess around with any of the settings to find your preference but i personally always leave the "highlight" and "intensity' tab at 0. *sometimes i increase the grain if i feel the need for more. or leave it at 1 but edit the opacity if it's too much grain. here are my usual settings
